After a decade of assessment and remediation, Equipoise Corporation has achieved the rare feat of receiving a finding of No Further Requirements (NFR) for a property located within a Superfund Site. The 1.6 acre former Charter Communications property, located on the northwest corner of the intersection of Mission Road and Date Avenue in Alhambra, California, is situated within Area 3 Operable Unit of the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s San Gabriel Valley Superfund Site.  On August 8, 2013, the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board, the public agency with primary responsibility for the property, issued a NFR closure letter stating, soils impacted by tetrachloroethene (PCE) and trichloroethene (TCE) have been cleaned up to standards suitable for commercial and industrial land use and, if permitted by local zoning, residential land use.  For more details follow the link below.
