Staff Environmental Engineer (0-4 years)

Equipoise staff are experts in geosciences, hydrogeology and remediation engineering. At Equipoise, you will actively participate in the implementation of site investigations and remediation projects, while working closely with experienced professionals in the environmental consulting field. Key responsibilities for this position that will further develop your professional foundation are described below.
Key Requirements/Responsibilities:
- Design, construct, and/or operate soil and groundwater remediation systems including soil vapor extraction (SVE) systems, groundwater extraction and treatment systems, and in-situ remedial technologies such as in-situ chemical oxidation (ISCO) and in-situ chemical reduction (ISCR)Support and collaborate with project staff during site assessment and remediation field tasks, including soil, soil vapor, and groundwater sampling
- Lead and support the design of Vapor Intrusion Mitigation Systems (VIMS), including sub-slab depressurization systems (SSDS), vapor barriers, passive mitigation systems, and associated monitoring networks
- Perform construction quality assurance and construction quality control activities to verify that mitigation systems are installed in accordance with design specifications and project requirements
- Coordination and oversight of field activities and subcontractor support services including well surveyors, groundwater sampling contractors, drillers, and geophysical service providers
- Data analysis, including preparation and interpretation of maps, tables, and figures
- Support the preparation of technical reports, plans, specifications, and permits

Minimum Qualifications:
- 0 – 4 years of experience in environmental consulting or related environmental services
- B.S. in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related scientific or engineering discipline with a strong technical aptitude
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or active pursuit of certification if not already held
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Growth mindset with a willingness to learn, adapt, and take on increasing responsibilities
- Strong verbal and written communication, organization, and technical writing skills
- Prior internship or relevant experience in environmental consulting, engineering, construction, or related field is preferred
- Available to start immediately or within a reasonable notice period
Physical Demands:
Field work and travel are expected to be a part of this position. With or without reasonable accommodation, employees are expected to perform the following activities:

Salary: $63,000 – $90,000 per year commensurate with history and experience
